I have been looking around at different study packages and I am curious what you guys/girls think give the best bang for the buck. I have been looking at this package from mcat-prep.com: http://www.bestmcatbooks.com/complete-mcat-courses.html#1. I am interested in this because it has a set of DVD's for each subject along with a book and 3 practice CBT exams. Do you think the DVD's are worth it or should I just get a princeton-review book instead: http://www.randomhouse.com/princetonreview/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780375765971. If you guys have other suggestions, please let me know!

Thanks in advance

go with the tried and true--that's my opinion--

1. kaplan comphrensive book (big book avaliable at any bookstore)

2. AAMC practice exams avaliable for purchase online http://www.e-mcat.com

3. examkrackers books if you feel you need them.

4. borrow old mcat study stuff from friends

try half.com and other online sites to find good deals. also the Walmart online store usually has good deals.

I got the examkrackers books a year ago. I really like them, but mainly as a guide and light study material that went along with my classes. It is also easier to read than the kaplan stuff.

I love the kaplan qbank to practice passages when I have 30 minutes of downtime.

I don't really think there is something that is the "best".

The ONLY requirement is that you get the aamc practice tests and use them...a lot

My thoughts from being on this subject for a year:

PS: Berk review, NOVA (physics), Princeton science workbook

Verbal: AAMCs, Ek verbal

BS: Not sure, more from the passage is needed than on PS. EK, Kaplan, berk review (org chem). Basically a strong foundation and good reasoning skills

Practice MCATS most important. AAMCs, Kaplan, and I would really like to have CBT MCATs from Berk review available!!
