I drive a toyota prius for the past couple of years. I am waiting for full self driving so I can do charts, etc when on my long commute. Is tesla fsd there now?50 min each way, 5 days a week, Tesla fsd
That’s too ambitious. The current version of FSD allows you to take a nap without any issues. Unfortunately, there’s no near-future version of FSD that can allow you to do charts, you don't do those at work?I drive a toyota prius for the past couple of years. Look at Rivian R2... has Level 4 self driving coming by end of 2026 which is similar to Waymo (so you can do your charting and not pay attention to the road at all)
You are saying you can take a nap the current fsd but can't do charts? You can close your eyes and fall alseep with hands off the wheel but can't look down on your lap top and type? Heihei, you cannot move your head too much and have to wear sunglasses for the nap, and it is okay to be hands-off the wheel. You are saying you can take a nap the current fsd but can't do charts? I'm with you, waiting for real self driving. Will be a game changer. You are saying you can take a nap the current fsd but can't do charts? You can close your eyes and fall alseep with hands off the wheel but can't look down on your lap top and type? I don't get it
Since Waymo truly does it, obviously it's possible.
My highway drive was always pleasant. Would work on my Spanish most of the time. I’m getting way out of practice now.
5-10 min 2 x week, 15 min 3 x/week.
offered going to a different site. would be 45 min drive. i am declining.

Current FSD is not nearly good enough to take a nap during a drive. I’ve tried the most recent FSD…you’d be a fool to go hands off and fall asleep with it “driving”.
I use FSD 95% of the time. It makes a minor mistake about every 1000 miles. Once it followed spilled white paint almost off the freeway going 70 MPH. The car did recover but it was close, I was about to correct. That was the most serious incident. But now I get in my Toyota truck and I am annoyed I have to steer it. You get lazy.
You folks need to step up your game. I know a good number of groups that fly their docs to satellites.
Wildest example I know of was someone who wanted to set up a practice in an entirely different region and somehow convinced the group to let them do half the week with them, half the week at the new solo gig while taking probably 3+ hour red eyes, may have been even longer. Think that lasted about a year.
(No, that wasn’t me.)

Robert Windsor did that a bunch of years ago. He bought a plane or two and flew to Kentucky one day every other week and did 40 procedures then flew home. You folks need to step up your game. I know a good number of groups that fly their docs to satellites.

10 min T, TH, FWhat's your guys' commute these days? Mines slowly killing me
30 min M, W
FSD is not perfect, to be honest. I used it for just one whole year this month, and I can’t go back without it now. On my way to work, I’d click in the garage and not intervene for months. It will park in the parking lot. On my way back, I needed some help to enter the garage, there were some navigation issues as well. The new version is better to some extent. Inside the car, with sunglasses on, I could take a several-minute nap without any problems. However, it’s not a good idea during rainy or snowy days. My concern is that it’s not very comfortable. I need a better car with FSD 😉
That’s the dreamSo tesla really isn't full self driving at this point..is that the consensus . I am waiting to buy a new car but want it full self driving so I can do chartwork on my laptop
I hear tesla owners brag about how their tesla's are in fact full self driving but it seems like it is actually notThat’s the dream
Isn’t that also how he got caught doing Neuromod while in the plane or something?Robert Windsor did that a bunch of years ago. He bought a plane or two and flew to Kentucky one day every other week and did 40 procedures then flew home.
Having PA's logged in as you in different locations at same time and not being available to answer the call. Once of the reasons he fired me. I would not participate in the charade.Isn’t that also how he got caught doing Neuromod while in the plane or something?
10 minutes 4 days of week
1 hour on one of the days
I’m planning on moving in next couple of year so commute will likely be hour and ten minutes (2 hours in car total 5 days/week)

why would you move farther away from work? let alone that far? No way I would be able to handle a 2 hr commute10 minutes 4 days of week

I heard stories he was pulling 20 million profit a year or something absurdHaving PA's logged in as you in different locations at same time and not being available to answer the call. Once of the reasons he fired me. I would not participate in the charade.
That’s awesome you didn’t fall accustom to his greed

So my kids can get benefit of nice eateries and enjoy better education/not be in middle of nowherewhy would you move farther away from work? let alone that far? No way I would be able to handle a 2 hr commute
Only reason I’m there is ease of job (less work, more money). If it’s too tiresome, I can always quit
5 mins one week and 65 minutes the other week (rural and metro clinics).

Fall of Civilizations is the single best podcast I have ever heard. Period. I would recommend starting with Aztecs, but barring first couple of episodes, they all are 10/10. It’s a singular achievement of the podcast medium IMO.
Hardcore History - Dan Carlin is another one with rave reviews.
For stocks, I second the recommendation of Prof G Markets for its consistency. The Compound and Friends is another one I really enjoy.
For science, Sean Carroll’s Mindscape is highly recommended. He is just a champion dude; highly intelligent and compassionate.
Curbsiders. Really great internal medicine podcast. I’ve learned a lot that’s useful. Recent episode on Fibromyalgia, interviewing Dan Clauw.
Clark Howard has very good information on travel, finances, saving money.
Thx for this! Literally told my wife last night how great these podcasts are and why have I been wasting my life just scrolling Instagram while driving instead lolFall of Civilizations is the single best podcast I have ever heard.
