This for customers with insurance..

What info do you have to enter?

1. Name
2. DOB
3. Ins. ID number
4. Ins. PCN number
5. Ins. BIN number
6. Ins. GRP number

it all depends on the insurance.

They all need a DOB and ID. Everything else varies

Right. but if you enter the PCN does the rest come up or you have to manually enter them all in?

In the CVS system you enter name, DOB, and then you have to select a condor code that will autopopulate the PCN and BIN numbers. Then you enter ID and Group. Now, it often will help you to have the BIN number if it's some sort of card that you don't see often, but over time you tend to memorize the condor codes for the cards you see a lot.

You can also search by Bin or PCN number when you are at the search screen hit ,, and the bin# and the plans with that Bin # will list. You search for Name and Bin # as well....

Rex - why are you back with this same question?

We answered this before last year....you know all the computer software systems as well as I do. You know what is needed? Why ask again?

Are you looking to change or upgrade your company's system?

The best systems let you search for either BIN or PCN & then find the corresponding BIN or PCN.

Of course you need the dob - that is the personal identifier, as well as the relationship code. Names change & are meaningless, unless you are dealing with Medicare Part B.

The only issue comes up with twins or triplets - I've got several sets - all with problems!!! I hate having to clarify the birth order - far too complicated for a mom with 3 sets of ear infections!
