Hi,
I'm applying to all the pharmacy schools in Texas this year and the deadlines for them are around Feb. 1st - 15th, with Texas Tech on March 1st. I was wondering when is the latest date I should ask my professors to write the recommendations? In other words, how early in advance should I ask them? Would 1 month be enough?

Thank you! 🙂

I'd ask now. I asked my recommendors in June, and it took 3 months for 2 of them to submit their LORs. Ask as soon as you can, there is no harm in having it done early.

1 month would be the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM, I'd say. Plus you don't want to have to struggle to get everything sent and done by the deadline. I don't know anything about Texas schools, but if they are rolling admissions then you should definitely be asking for letters sooner rather than later.

I think I gave mine a little under two months. None of them took that long (I think the slowest one took a month). But the earlier the better...you don't want it to be a limiting factor for submitting your apps.

I agree with everyones' posts about sooner than later. From what I hear it is in your best interest to have everything in months prior to the deadline.
