When to let other schools know that you won't be attending

Hi, I just made a decision as to what school I intend to attend. I sent in deposits for both of the schools I got into back in Dec. Should I tell the other school now? I am worried about something going wrong with my first choice after I drop my second choice.

What could go wrong? if you have paid the deposit you theoretically have a spot.

just tell em you don't want it if you are 100% certain of your decision so they can put someone else in.
