I wonder some parameters in anesthesiology research statistical analyses.

For example Visual Analog Score (VAS), Mini Menthal Test Score, Spielberger Test Anxiety Score etc...

The point i wonder is we will use "MEANS" of these parameters or "MEDIAN" or "MODE" in statistical analyse.

Clear question: Which results (MEAN, MODE, MEDIAN) do we use in which results (VAS, Anxiety Score or others..) while making an anesthesiology research statistical analyse? Is there a quick way to learn this for anesthesiolgy.
