The p for survival was 0.059- so 94% chance that there is an overall survival improvement?
That is a common misinterpretation of a p-value.

p-values do not measure the probability that the studied hypothesis is true.

Ronald L. Wasserstein & Nicole A. Lazar (2016) The ASA Statement on p-Values: Context, Process, and Purpose, The American Statistician, 70:2, 129-133, DOI: 10.1080/00031305.2016.1154108

If the vast majority of internal medicine docs can't design and interpret clinical trials properly, then why think anyone in pharma out government can? Just saying.

I just want to see this data actually written up with as a paper, or even an abstract. How has it been a press release only for what seems like 3-5 days?

****, give a motivated Rad Onc resident or junior attending the data and a day, you'll get a full paper back.

FDA approvals based on a pharma-funded study that has not been reviewed in anyway and we're basing the data on a press release? Agree with the topic of the title on this one. Hope Fauci talking like trump ("game changer") is a one-off and his brain has not rotted due to his proximity to the administration.
