Where Are You Withdrawing From?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've withdrawn from Cornell, Northwestern, MSU-CHM, Wayne State, and Case Western.

Hope that frees up spots for other people.

withdrawing from RFU, Jefferson, and NYMC. =) No interivews at any of the three, and I know I wouldn't go there over my state school.

I withdrew from my interview spot at Ohio State after getting my acceptance at Toledo. I *heart* my Buckeyes, but I'd prefer to be a little closer to home.

this is probably the stupidest thing i've done this application cycle, but I'm canceling my interview at the University of Washington (OOS). I just don't think I would go there over Pitt or any NYC school (if I get accepted). Hopefully this opens a slot for another OOS applicant that really wants to go.

Wow, congrats on all the acceptances! You put me to shame. Normally, I would be dumbfounded when anyone would withdraw from UWashington, but I think you are one of the few who are justified.

Canceling interviews at Drexel and Jefferson, also declining admission at Temple.

I'm withdrawing from Case Western, Lerner Cleveland Clinic, Boston University and Dartmouth. Hope this helps someone out! 🙂

Nice! Did you interview at all those places?

I'm not interviewing at NYU, NYMC, Tufts, Jefferson, Rush or Loyola. Hopefully that helps some people out too!

Nope. I was doing horribly in school because I was gone so often for interviews and by then I found out in got into a couple of places, so I withdrew before interviewing (was lucky to get some refund on plane tickets)🙄. Did you go to NYU at all?

I haven't been offered an interview yet, but I probably wouldn't go even if I were accepted. Cost is too high relative to my sense of its value.

Keep em coming guys, this is one of my favorite threads!!

Some people are withdrawing from great schools! Lots of hope!

I'll be withdrawing an interview at West Virginia University tomorrow for December! I hope that it is sufficient notice for someone else to go. (I was accepted to IU today - still in shock! 🙂)

i'm withdrawing my Temple acceptance, and declining an interview at Drexel. i'm happy (and broke) where I'm at...

Withdrawing from Albert Einstein (AECOM) in NY.

Withdrawing from NYMC, Wake Forest & FSU...Hope this helps someone out!

...I'm gonna hang on to Loyola though so I can get an excuse to go to Chi-town if they call for an interview:hardy:

thank you and good luck I will take your WF I interview Feb 12th I would love to go there....👍

Just withdrew from NYMC.

Withdrew from BU. My status had been post-interview, decision deferred to March.

That certainly makes my day. I received the same message and am waiting it out, my wife and I really liked BU and the Boston area. Thanks HanginInThere!

Happy to help, and good luck with the wait.

For what it's worth, I live outside of Boston now and it's a great place to be. But my family is the big reason I'm not waiting to see what would happen with BU - we have two kids, and I don't see a good place to live that's (a) close enough to be a reasonable commute to school for me, (b) a location we'd want to raise young children, and (c) workable with our coming med student budget. If any of the T lines had a BUSM stop, I wouldn't be ready to give up my shot at a spot yet. But good for you if it works with your situation.

Withdrew from Albany, SUNY Upstate, and NYMC. Complete at Albany, on hold at Upstate, and had an interview for late Feb at NYMC. Good luck!

Thinking of withdrawing from Drexel and Downstate. I liked them both, but not as much as the two places where I have acceptances.

Last month I withdrew from my Creighton and West Virginia interviews. Two weeks ago, I withdrew from a Drexel acceptance, and I withdrew from VCU last night. Hope this has helped anyone still waiting.
