I have many sources telling me many different things:

Robbins tells me the liver and glomerular epithelium.

Other papers say the blood vessel endothelium.

Even more papers say that we aren't entirely sure.

Does anyone actually know the answer to this question? If so, can you offer sources?

I think most of the clotting factors are made in the liver. For F8, I believe its made in the liver but stored in the endothelium of blood vessels. FYI, F8 secretion can be increased with admin of ADH.

According to Goljan is in the Liver , but wiki and other sources state its source is a controversy still.

is there a difference b/w factor 8 and a functional factor 8 in vWillibrand disease?

VWF carries F8, thereby increasing its half-life substantially. So with vWD, you also have a relative F8 deficiency, since its half-life is significantly decreased without a carrier.
