I am hoping the people that have started or finished (at any) medical school can help me out. Next year I will be a MS1 at LECOM-B. As of now I have 2 options for living. I could live a half a mile from the school for about $1450 a month or live 25-30 minutes away for about $900 a month. So my question is, would living closer to campus be worth the extra money? I will be splitting rent at either place with a roommate.

By living further away would we would save ~$250-300 a month per person and ~$3,000-3,600 a year per person.

Are there a lot of required attendance things at lecom?

They have PBL, take your (loaned) money and save it.

From my understanding once you get pass the initial anatomy class most everything else is PBL which is required and last 2 hours for 3 times a week. There is a few mini classes here and there which are required I believe and of course your OPP classes also.

Im also going to LECOM-B in 2020, and thought about this too, It is honestly NOT worth it at all if you have to pay 1450, thats crazy, 900 is much more reasonable, use the extra money to have fun, when you actually have time! I plan on living 10-20 minutes further as well!

That's how I feel too! But I have not been through med school yet so I wanted some opinions.
