Like everything else, happiness should be in moderation. If the students at a school were too happy it would freak me out. People who are happy for no apparent reason annoy me.
Which med schools have the HAPPIEST students????

Yippee!
Going into the app process, Tulane is my #1 choice! Glad to hear its on several SDNrs lists and more importantly, ecstatic to hear you can be a real person there whilst in med school! As a Green Wave undergrad (in the early 90s), I must admit we did have our share of fun in New Orleans. Most everyone I came across had the entire balancing act down cold. Tulane folks knew how to work hard and play hard. Best life education I could have received. Now if only the bars were open 24/7 everywhere else...

From the California schools, Stanford hands down seemed to have the happiest students. I imagined that UCSF would be even happier, but that wasn't the case: much more smiling faces in Palo Alto than in San Francisco.
