I get like three of those a week. It's weird though because I sent the guy my first and last name, social security number, bank account number, childhood photos, cell phone number, and a list of my fears ... but I still haven't received a reply. Must be busy 👍

There is no way I would ever go to a carib school over RVU. I think it is a bad idea to apply to RVU in the next couple of years, but it is still a US medical school.

Aww ... where my biggest fear lies. I don't want to turn this into a ' down with RVU thread,' but the school being in America is what creates the risk of other for profit schools popping up like jr high school acne, on the basis that it is an American med school. Many people would rather attend a US med school over a Carib school, and unfortunatlely, people who may not be qualified otherwise will be accepted to these schools (after a brief credit check) --> high drop out rates/low board passing rates ---> DO degree being tarnished --> JaggerPlate being sad 🙁.

None of this will probably happen ... however, I have been ranting like that crazy homeless guy on the corner holding a 'Jesus is coming, repent for your sins, the end is near' sign on SDN about it for a while now.

I would much rather go to a school in the U.S. and even though I ****ed up the MCAT, I won't apply to RVUCOM. I don't like the idea of the for profit thing and think it hurts the credibility of the DO profession. Instead of even trying to get into the school, I'll wait til next year, retake the MCAT, and apply again-assuming I don't get in anywhere this time.
