Who got interviews already and where??

Glasgow, end of January. Everyone is says they are notifying people in January for interviews.

So far, I have a K-State interview...
 
How did you folks receive your good news? Phone, email, or letter? (Or, carrier pigeon, smoke signals, or mail owl?) 😉

I think each school is different? I don't recall, and I'll check when I can, but in the meantime, I thought I'd ask here.

You know, 'cuz it's fun knowing whether I should jump if my phone rings, or if I should focus my anxiety most strongly on The Mailbox instead. Or Inbox?
 
Royal Veterinary College - 23 November
Bristol - 29 November

I found out by letter, but it probably is different for each one.

I found out about my interview by email, but as for getting into K-State they send letters by mail. This is for in-state, I don't know how out of state works.

Notified 10/26 via email
 
Ohio State notified me via email today for interview on 11/29.

are you in or out of state? and what are your stats if you dont mind? Congrats on the interview!👍 👍 I have heard that they let you know at the end of the interview of your acceptance. Let us know if its true.

Some people find out right away. The people I know for whom this was true for either had very very early interviews (like in Oct) and where instate OR somewhat late interviews and were out of state. OSU tries to fill you their 97 Ohio seats with the best GPAs they can first. After they know what they have for instate, they go through the out-of state applicants (they'll know by then if they need to only take very high people or not).
 
OSU emailed me last week for an interview Nov 27th...I'm so nervous! lol
 
Just found out I have an interview at Kansas State on 1/6/07....🙂
 
OSU on 12/1, MSU on 12/4, and Glasgow in Feb. (Doing a little happy dance because I just found out about my OSU interview!)

Just out of curiosity, when did you receive your osu supplemental? Thanks and best wishes for your interview!
 
Early/Mid October I want to say. I'm an Ohio resident, so that might also effect timing and whatnot.
 
Just found out about a Missouri interview 1/07 and I'm a non-resident...I was pretty sure they didn't do that but I won't argue!
 
A&M 12/13 In state. Notified by letter
 
My OSU interview went well. They did not ask me any difficult questions....they were more interested in me as a person, my experiences, and what I would bring to the school. It was more of a conversation...not very stressful at all.
 
University of Missouri in January, and I'm in a contract state. Contacted by e-mail a couple of days ago.
 
Notified of wait list on 11/30 - Glasgow via e-mail.
 
-had OSU interview on the 11/28 (i'm out of state) was notified via e-mail (i wrote a review if you are wondering how it was). none of the people i talked to that day were told they were in or out.
-also notified via e-mail for missouri interview on jan 5th (also out of state).
-interview by ross in september, found out 6 weeks later of acceptance via phone call and the mail.
 
glasgow- 14th december
edinburgh- 14th december (what are the chance on the same day? so gettin that changed)
bristol- 13th december but getting it changed also cos i live in glasgow and i would be shattered for the next day
 
KSU Jan 7th...Sunday.
 
I had an interview with MSU on october 19th with a letter of acceptance 3 weeks later.

hehe, don't be...MSU just lets people know before all other vet schools...
 
I interviewed at MSU on Monday, and I'm hoping to have the same luck you did with an acceptance 3 weeks later!! Fingers, toes, everything else is crossed... 😳
 
I got an email today from Kansas! January 14 interview!

I'm a non-trad non-resident.

Cookie, see all that crying was for nothing! I haven't heard anything yet. No new is good news I guess. I did get a "we will tell you before x-mas" email from Mississippi. Nice to destroy you a few days before x-mas 🙂

So for all of you that weren't invited to Kansas for interview, have you received rejection letters 🙁 ? I'm only asking because I havent heard anything from them yet (out of state)

A friend of mine that did not receive an invitation from K-state hasn't heard anything at all from them.
 
eeks! I had my interview at OSU the 27th of November, and now my application status says a decision has been made! I can't decide if that's good or bad...b/c they are interviewing through the end of January...wouldn't they wait to give me the axe?? And they snail mail the decision! But I suppose it will be nice to know one way or the other by Christmas. OSU is the only school I applied to...so this is it baby! 🙂
 
That's really exciting! I know that they changed their admissions process around a lot this year (last year they let a lot of people know during their interviews whether or not they got in). If they already know, then I would imagine that you got in or they would wait until they interviewed more people. I interviewed the week after you so keep us updated on what you hear! Are you in-state or out of state by the way?
 
I knew they changed their admissions process...it was something I asked about in my interview. They interview through January, and that is it. That way we will all know before freaking April (not that I'm stil bitter or anything). I will def keep you fellow OSU applicants up-to-date! Oh, and I am in-state...I moved to Columbus 1 1/2 years ago with the purpose to become a resident to apply to OSU. I wanted to say "see, I wanna go here!!!"
 
Oh gees... News like that has me all the more on pins and needles! I had two interviews 1.5 weeks ago (OSU and MSU) and I'm waiting to hear on both... For finals studying stake, I am not checking status pages. Instead I attack chocolate, cookies, and fingernails! 😳
 
I know what you mean. Hearing things like that makes me check more than I already did (which was probably too much to begin with!) Luckily I am done with finals, and seeing as I just got my wisdom teeth out I have been lying in bed all day, hence my frequent forum checks too! Good luck to all who have finals.

If you got a very early OSU interview, you probably got in. Especially if it was short and they didn't really ask you much.
 
Unfortunately MSU does not change the status page if you have been accepted. They send you an envelop exactly three weeks later, at least if you are accepted. They probably wait on rejections or waitlists until later in the season.

i had my interview at OSU on the 28th (i'm out of state) and my status hasn't changed. now i will be checking that (and snail mail) compulsively. let us know what u hear!
