Congrats on your acceptance to MSU! Quick question for you, before you received your invite to interview, what was your status listed as on your status page? My status page just lists that they received everything, but nothing suggesting they are reviewing my file. Also, how did they notify you of the invite?
 
i just received an email from k-state with an interview invitation! 😀 so i guess i'll be seeing a lot of you at the pizza party!

Thanks! The page shows the exact time that they moved me over to file review. They said, "Congratulations! You have made it to the file review part of our process. This typically takes 3-5 weeks to complete. Depending on how many we review it could take longer. Please do not call us to ask the status of your file review."

I applied in July so I was a pretty early applicant. That had a major part to do with the speed I moved through the process.

Then they update if you get an interview. They said, "The Committee on Student Admissions has completed the evaluation of applications for admission to the professional program in the College of Veterinary Medicine. We are happy to inform you that, as a result of your File Review, you have qualified for step IV of the admissions process. We extend an invitation to you for an interview. You should have recieved an email with details concerning the interview process. If you have not received an email with regards to the interview process please email admissions at [email protected]. The email has all the details you need to know." There is a page on the CVM website that gives more details. You get the interview notice 1 week ahead of time. There is only 1 more block of interviews I think...Phase 3 as they called it. That happens next year.

Three weeks exactly will be Christmas so I've got my fingers crossed that it comes sooner! You said envelope packet?
 
Yea, it was pretty much a full three weeks...I emailed the admissions department at 2.5 weeks, they said that a letter was in the mail but would not tell me what it was. It is a thick envelope with the acceptance forms.

I hope that you have great Christmas news! 🙂

Has anyone heard about Western yet? I thought at their weekend workshop they said interviews go out before Christmas. And Christmas seems to be fast approaching... 😕
 
Just got an email inviting me for an interview at Mississippi for Wed Jan 31..YAY! :laugh:

There's a pizza party the night before that I may or may not be able to attend but I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you guys there 🙂

It's really nice to see so many people posting about interviews!! Here in England there seems to have been a really big halt, there were some really quick responses to the applications and now we have to wait for the slow ones!!

As for which one, I'm still waiting on some others and need to do some due dilligence before chosing.

You should absolutely celebrate. Congratulations...whenever you get a chance within your celebration, can you check you appstatus page at OSU and see if that ever changed, or if so, when it changed during this entire process. I'm sure there are quite a few of us here that interviewed sometime after you and are obsessed with that appstatus page. Thank you and take care.

Hi there!!

I know how you feel... I check the OSU app status page a bazillion times a day, even on the weekend when I know it definately won't change!

My friend was accepted at OSU already. Her status changed from "Referred" to "Decision". Then the next day, she received an e-mail about her acceptance and snail mail info was sent to her home address.

Interview at Mississippi State on February 1st!

I'm so excited, after being rejected last year, I feel like someone is finally willing to at least give me a chance =)

Will anyone here be at the pizza party Wednesday evening?

In the email they let us know that they had a total of 401 applicants. 150 were selected for interviews, and 72 will be admitted from those.

Haven't heard a word from Kansas or Illinois, and NC State, even though it's 2 minutes down the road, usually waits until March 31 to let me know I'm not accepted....
 
congradulations!!!!!!!!! this whole process sounds so frusturating. I'm terrified, to tell the truth!
 
Interview at Penn notified today via snail mail (at my home address even though I requested that my school address be used for contact.)

My interview is on Jan 12th and I'm in the small animal, in-state applicant group. Anyone else interviewing at Penn that day?

Congratulations on the Penn interview! I know its definitely hard with the mail thing. Being that its break I'm not at my school address. It always keeps me hoping that I received something while I was away!
 
No mail for me yet from anyone 🙁 The waiting is very nerveracking! No interviews yet, but no rejections yet either 🙂 I guess for the moment no news is good news
 
Yes, it definitely is nerve-racking, expecially with all of the schools having different timelines. I'm sure you'll hear something soon!

As soon as I read that Penn had sent out their first interview invites, I called my mom to see if I had any mail. But she said she doesn't remember seeing anything application related. 🙁 Hopefully when i go home tomorrow something nice will be waiting for me!

Do you have to get back to them within week as to whether you accept the invitation to interview. I will not be able to access my snail until the 28th so I'm somewhat concerned.
 
Hi sonnnyman.

The letter says the following: Please confirm your interview appointment as soon as possible by telephone (215-898-5434) or email ([email protected]) to the Admissions Office. Once again, due to the contraints on space, we would like to ask you to confirm your appointment by Wednesday, January 3, 2007.

Judging from this, you'll be fine. But I would call them and ask them to make sure.
