i am starting princeton review in june, and was wondering how much old notes and texts people used, or whether the PR material is enough.

Using your own old notes sounds like a good idea. You might trigger that part of your memory that recognizes when you wrote them, and seeing your own hand-writing and the fact that you have already mastered the material will give you a psychological edge. I would use my own notes, if not for the fact that I am an extremely disorganized note-taker and all my notes are scattered and long-gone! 😳

I drive a 98 bravada. The entire back is loaded down with notebooks, books and folders. I love studying using my old stuff. Everything on the mcat i have learned and knew at one point in time. Its just a matter of knowing it all at once, which is challenging. But when i take notes i draw things and write them so that i know how to do them, which is generally different then the professors. So it saves me lots of time just having myself teach it to me again. My friends thought i was crazy the other nite, i was in this conference room in the library with old papers and notebooks everywhere trying to figure out something in organic chem.

So that long rambling paragraph(if you could even call it that) above could be adbridged by saying, " yes I used my old notes"
