To Director of Admissions? or Dean of Admissions? Whats the difference between the two? Also, whats the role of "Director of Admissions" in the admissions process? Do they have a say in who gets an interivew or acceptance?

I was told to address it to the admissions committee when i called CCOM about it.

Admissions Committee. Doesn't leave anyone out.

I would say the address on the envelope should just be the Office of Admissions.

As far as the salutation in the letter itself (which may have been what you really meant) I'd say "Admissions Committee." I don't think anyone would think that's odd or inappropriate.

Probably least important part of the letter. Just dont start with "Yo:"

Address it to the Dean of Admissions or just say "Dear Admissions Committee of X School of Medicine"

If you wanna go fancy, you can even write "Dear Members of the Admissions Committee"

I did both of these. I addressed my letter to the Office of Admissions because that was the contact address on their website. I also sent my letter to both the Dean of Admissions and to the Director of Admissions, though to be fair I sent the Dean his letter by snail mail and the Director her letter via email during discussions about their waitlist. As I understand it, the Dean is the head of the department, but the Director actually runs it. The role of the Director in the admissions process depends on the school. At my number one, the Director is a voting member of the adcom.
