If you were asked this during an interview or from a professor who is going to write you an LOR, how do you answer?

Because I don't like conducting experiments??sounds 😱

Cause I have a life outside of school....

Because I don't believe in research, all knowledge is revealed through the good graces of the spaghetti noodle monster and Chuck Norris.

ok, ok....the real reason why is because i'd rather watch reality TV and those cheesy late night dating shows...how's that?? hehehe

You can say that the active research being conducted in your school are not of great interest to you.
They asked me the same question during my interview with the Director of Research at my local hospital. I told them my school were most interested in marine biology research, fish, etc and that was not of any interest to me...which was true...why waste time doing research in something you are not interested in?

Good Luck :luck:

I seriously doubt research will even be brought up, unless you say something in that regard. If your active in something, like sports or hobbies your conversation could be steered more along those lines rather than research. Really depends on the school as well. Harvard is very academically based (so I've heard) research would most likely come up.

Where as Indiana for example at least at my interview the dean of admission said you're here, to be trained as an oral health provider rather than a researcher, research is not a big deal. What was funny about his statement was he totally contradicted himself after he said that above statement when he passed out a folder with all of the information about the school and sure enough there is a huge packet of information on research being conducted at the school.
