Why is EK Chem 1001 so expensive?

Does anyone know why it's so expensive right now? The lowest price on the Amazon link in SN2's post is $60! (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1893858227/ref=nosim/studentdoctor-20)

Is it in short supply right now?

Yeah I was looking to buy ek 1001 chem and I noticed the outrageous prices on amazon. I just bought one for $30 from better world books, free shipping. I also tried to buy it from the ek website but when i clicked to add the item to my cart nothing showed up so i went elsewhere.

I think it's useful for making sure you understand the material. But you're right that only a small percentage of questions on the MCAT are given w/o a passage.
