I don't think my last post was clear so some of you might have misinterpreted it. What I meant was that there are numerous doctors out there whose main reason for practicing is not money, but other motivating factors. Money is definitely one of them, but it is not at the top of the list for the majority of doctors. After all, what's the purpose of the interview and med school admissions in general? I'd say it's to admit those qualified students who are primarily motivated by something other than $$
