Hello everyone!
For reference, my GPA is a sub 3.3. I completed an SMP at a well-known program with a 4.0 GPA.
I retook a 512 MCAT and scored a 517. My section breakdowns are as follows:
C/P - CARS - Bio - PS - Total Score
128 - 127 - 128 - 129 --- 512
128 - 128 - 129 - 132 --- 517
I am concerned that admissions committees may question why my Biology section score only improved by one point after achieving a 4.0 in a Masters program that was heavily focused on Biology and Biochemistry. Is this a valid concern, or am I just paranoid? 😉
I am applying this cycle.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. If you are wondering, I averaged a 131 on the Bio section on the three FL exams, a 93% on the Sample Test, and a 94% on the Section Bank. Just had a bad break on exam day I guess 🤣
