I have always been interested in working at the NICU for a long time and the hospital I work finally has a job opening at that unit. It is a dual job so working as both a CNA and HUC. As I was looking at the responsibilities, it seems like we are responsible for doing more HUC work than CNA. I am torn because I am worried this job will not count as clinical.

Healthcare unit coordinator. The desk person (receptionist, paper sorter, patient tracker, etc) for an inpatient unit / floor.

Didn’t know this wasn’t a common term.
Clinical. Are you licensed or trained to do more CNA/NICU work?

I am a licensed CNA. Usually when you switch to different units, the unit trains you. So the NICU unit will train me on however they want their CNA to work.
