Will this count as dental shadowing hours?

Hey guys,
I just got a position volunteering as a dental assistant for a local dental charity. Will my dental assisting hours count as both dental shadowing hours and community service/volunteer hours? Thanks!

Yeah it will, I did it on my application. Just make sure it is cool with whatever dentist you are working with that specific day!

Well on AADSAS, you get to pick one or the other but not both.

Yeah it counts for both. There is one section for shadowing you put the info in there with the dentists name and what not. Then there is another section for volunteer work and you out that info in there. I called the 5 dental schools I applied to before I submitted and they all said that was fine.

Yeah as long as the dentist you're working for and the schools you're applying to say it's cool. Very easy way to rack up volunteering + shadowing hours.
