One of the things that I really like about Ophthalmology is the mixture of surgery and longitudinal patient relationships on the medical side. Based on the ophthalmologists I've shadowed, it seems like most of the patients with whom they've developed a relationship with are those who need to keep coming in for injections.

If so, how do you think this will affect the number of patients that you can really develop a relationship with?
