Will You Eventually Hear Back From Every School?I

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hello everyone,

I applied back in late July and so far I have heard back from 4 out of 12 schools I've applied to, interviewing at three of them. My first four I heard back relatively quickly, but it's been crickets for a couple months. Starting to get a little worried. The waiting game is so stressful! haha.

Anyways, I guess my question is, whether it's good news or bad news, will you eventually hear back from all the schools you apply to?

Thanks in advance.

no

I am also on the same boat, playing the "waiting game". At this time, I'm not sure whether to contact the schools to make sure that they have all my materials for application even though AADSAS already mentioned that the application is complete and under review. I haven't contacted any schools yet but "boy" it's tempting.....Unfortunately, I assume that the most likely response from the school is to continue waiting.

You’re not gonna get interviews from every single school that you applied to. That’s a very entitled mindset lol

Tufts and Buffalo are two schools that will send you their rejection after May (even if you applied in July)!

I've read the UPenn sends rejections by mail in December. Does anyone know if they also email you?

I assume it will at least be better than when applying for jobs. Most companies don't even bother sending a "we have chosen to pursue other candidates" notice. It really sucks, and with the ability to automate emails and use a standard template, I often wonder how hard it is for them to do that.

I was told there will be schools like that, where you don't even hear anything. But most schools will have the courtesy to at least tell you when a final decision is made.
