I believe wingate has had only one class so far if I am not mistaken. You may have to look around for students from wingate. Hopefully they can be of help. Is there anything in the Interview listing on this site...you might want to look there.

Actually they have had several classes. But I believe their first class will be graduating this May. I was really interested in this school at one point, but decided not to apply there. However, to really find out some good info, you could do what I did: I emailed the school and just said I was really interested in their program, and that it would be helpful to be put in touch with a current student to find out more specific info about the school. They were happy to help, and they sent gave me the email address of a student who was really nice, helpful and was happy to answer any questions I had. Good luck!

I received a call on my answer machine today from Wingate offering me an interview. It's my first interview offer so far. 😀 What date is your interview scheduled?

I interviewed at Wingate on Friday the 13th 😱 but I only had good luck because I was accepted!
They currently have 3 classes so this would be the fourth class that they are admitting. The first class will graduate MAY of 2007, NOT this May.

The interview was a breeze I thought, but compared to other interview this was the most involving. Interviewed individually with 3 different faculty members (15 min each in 3 different rooms), did a writing sample, and a group project with the other 4 students there that they. Its easy to stand out in such a small group. I took full advantage of that and it proved be a success!

Congratulations on getting accepted to Wingate! How much time did it take for them to accept you after your interview? Also, do you know if the rest of the interview sessions will have the same number of interviewees as yours did?

Thanks! 🙂

Congrats on getting accepted!

I'm sooo nervous about this interview. It'll be my first pharm interview evaaar. I'm nervous about the questions and essay and whether they'll be direct pharmacy questions that students with pharmacy tech experience will only know, or something that will expose my lack of on-the-job experience. :scared:

Thanks. It took them exactly the weekend and a couple of days to get the letter out. Interviewed on Fri 13th, letter mailed on Wed 18th. Very quick.

I don't know about the number of students for the upcoming interviews. One student I spoke to said there were 7 in his. I don't think they get much bigger. I don't know for sure.

As I've said already, take advantage of the small group arrangement and stand out as much as you can. I made sure to walk in the front, sit the closest, be the first to speak, the first to ask questions, etc. They can't help but notice and remember you in such a small group. It works! 👍 👍

Thanks again 😀

Don't be nervous about the interview, it was a breeze. Just don't be shy.

The writing sample and group project that I DID, did not require experience in the pharmacy. It required common sense and if you're a moral person, you will always have a decent answer. Make sure your writing sample question response always involves the most HONEST decision. Thats what I did and I didn't write over a paragraph and 1/2. Keep it simple and straight forward.
