I just got my wisdom teeth removed on Friday afternoon and I took the weekend off of practice (water polo/swimming). Am I allowed to get back in the water and workout after 3.5 days of rest? Tomorrow at 6am is weights but at 4-630 is pool. What should I do?

U should be fine. I work with an oral surgeon as an OMFS assistant and we do like 5 to6 4-8's procedures a day. Have you had your 1 week post op visit where they show you how to irrigate the lowers / remove the bottom sutures if they havent dissolved? They should give you an irrigating syringe if you havent already.

Most patients are fine within the next 2 days after surgery. Its just that some dont want to be out in public with some swollen cheeks. Just dont do any negative pressure (drinking through straw or smoking or very forceful swishing) for about 4 days that may cause a dry socket. Otherwise, you should be golden.Hope that helps.

Hold that helps!
