Does the AAMC send a notification to people with multiple acceptances to let them know about the deadline?
That makes sense. Thank you!Yes, they sent one out a few weeks ago, they do that every year.
You should have read the instructions before you submitted your application.I hope this isn't a dumb question but how are applicants supposed to know that they can't hold more than one acceptance? I found out about this rule through SDN. Does the AAMC send a notification to people with multiple acceptances to let them know about the deadline? It seems like a lot of people would get in trouble for holding more than one acceptance simply because they didn't know they had to give any up.
They have to give you a fair amount of time. I've seen the actual days given vary. I think they're supposed to give you five days. They usually try to expedite the financial aid process to give you a chance to make your decision with all the info. What about after April 30th? Say you get off a waitlist after 4/30, and at that point are accepted to two schools. How long do you have to choose between those schools?
consider those of us on waitlists
