Hi all,

So I haven't been verified yet, I believe I should be within a few days, therefore my application is still in the "Ready to Review" state. I was one of those people who submitted before getting their MCAT score back fully so now that I have it back, I'd like to withdraw a fair amount of my schools and add some different ones. How do I go about doing this?

Thanks for your time!

E-mail the individual schools with your AMCAS ID and let them know you'd like to withdraw. Don't feel bad about it - literally a one sentence e-mail saying "I would like to withdraw my application from consideration for the incoming class" is enough. If you've already submitted secondaries and paid the secondary fee to these schools, though, I wouldn't withdraw as that'd just be a complete waste of your money.

Thank you very much for your answer Nick. I was also wondering, is there any point in spending money to send my MCAT score to the other schools I was going to apply to? I was thinking that next year when I retake the MCAT I could show improvement that way? Not sure about that. Thanks though!

Schools see your entire MCAT history. Therefore, if you do take it again and improve, schools will see this as it will reflect in your score report. Both scores will be shown should you apply for the first time to a school next year.

Oh I see, thank you very much. My application just got processed today, and when I went to look at everything under "Print Application", my MCAT score was listed even though I didn't say anything about releasing the score on the MCAT scores page on the AMCAS site. Does it just release it anyway?
