For those of you who have sent out withdrawal letters, what did you write. Is it ok to write only two sentences? Can anyone share the one they sent out? I feel like mine is too short.

I did something like that. It's ok if it's short, you're telling them what they need to know. They gets lots of these letters so they don't want to be reading novels. I wasn't sure what to do - email versus snail mail - so I did both to be sure. It's easy enough to do both. You can always call each school to see what they prefer as I've heard each school is different.

Mine was e-mail and short with my amcas id, name and ssn. That is it.

I tried to be polite and to emphasize the positive aspects of the schools. I also expressed my regret and disappointment about not being able to accept the overtures.

I was only on the alternate list at SLU but I have absolutely no desire to go there so I pulled out. But this is what I wrote them, maybe you'll find it helpful:

I sent in on paper. It's short, but I felt it got my point across without taking too much time. Someone else had a nice example that was a little longer (above).
