wl vs alternate list at SLU

Does anyone know if slu uses the term alternate list in place of the more commonly used waitlist? Or do they have two different lists. I am currently on the alternate list.

Hey, I'm on the waiting list at SLU as well and another school. It is killer but all I can do is be patient I guess... Its tuff because your wondering should I reapply retake the mcat what???? you know but hopefully all will make sense soon 🙂 😕

I too am wondering if I should start the reapplication process. It is difficult to decide when to go ahead and register for the MCAT. I checked the deadline for registration and I believe its July, I put it on my calender and if I am not in by then I'm just going to sign up. Lets just hope we get in somewhere this year! I just called SLU and they said that the still will not give out any infromation with regards to wait list number soo FYI.

I too spoke with the admissions office and not only will they not release rank, but they will not release how many people are on the list either.

I too am on the alternate list. Do they reject anyone outright or does everyone go on this list if they are not accepted?

I was interviewed in Philly and as I said above, waitlisted. I was interviewed early Nov and just found out today. Honestly, I was expecting to be rejected because my interview was poor. What I want to know is if the alternate list is where they put everyone who they don't immediately accept. Anyone out there with personal stories about coming off the waitlist at SLU?

I'm also on the waitlist at SLU, along with 5 other waitlists. Interviewed in early September. They are one of those schools that put everyone on the waitlist I'm pretty sure.
