Hi, about a month ago, I emailed a PT that I shadowed at the beginning of the year asking her if she could verify my hours electronically, and I explained to look for an email from ptcas with the subject "..." and if she does not see it in her inbox to check the spam/junk folder. I also said it would only take like a 1 minute or 2 to complete. She quickly emailed me back and said she would definitely verify my hours and told me to go ahead and have ptcas send the email so that she could verify the hours. She also wished me good luck with the applications. After reading this email, I had ptcas send the verification request. I then emailed her back asking her if she knew the email address of one of her coworkers that I also shadowed. She quickly emailed me back again telling me she did not know, but that she would find out for me when she goes back to work and would let me know shortly. I was given the coworkers email by another PT about an hour after she last emailed me so I emailed her back right away telling her not to worry about it now, and I thanked her for offering to do that for me. I never heard back from her again after I sent that email to her. She still has not verified my hours either, and it is almost a month later now. I even sent her a reminder email 2 weeks after that, and I asked if she could email me to let me know when she verified my hours so I know that the verification process worked since I hear there can be problems with that sometimes. I still did not hear anything after that and still no verification. I have no idea what happened. Her other two coworkers quickly verified my hours with them and it quickly went through on ptcas, and they were very helpful.
I have not received an email from ptcas either saying that the hours have been rejected or that she could not verify, ect. So I have no idea what happened.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
She did sign a piece of paper when I shadowed her then to verify my hours. I just thought that electronic verification would be easier, but since I have not heard back from her, I have been thinking about just sending in the paper verification. However, ptcas will not let me change from electronic to paper signature since I already sent the verification email to her. Can ptcas change this for me so I can send in the paper she signed? Also, I only have one copy with her signature. If I do not get accepted into this cycle, I was going to reapply in the next cycle. If this happens, would ptcas accept a photocopy of the sheet she signed when I need to verify hours when I reapply, if I have to reapply? Thanks!
