I just e-submitted my PharmCAS but i accidently entered the wrong ethnicity/race, i am worried now. How will this affect my application? 😱 Would they make an exeption and change my race after i e-submitted it, or will i look like a liar if i ever get an interview?:scared:

Relax, you will be fine. Call PharmCAS tomorrow and tell them you made an error. They will change it for you. I made a small error as well, and I called PharmCAS before they had been sent to schools and they quickly made the change for me. Good luck! 🙂

well, i had my old phone number and address in the system after i submitted, and then changed it, so pharmcas sent a revision to the school. i don't think it'll be a problem if you change your race right now, especially since you caught it early enough. maybe pharmcas hasn't even sent it out yet since you just e-submitted!

Oh someone please help! I called pharmCAS they said there was no way to change anything once i e-submitted it including my ethnicity. How were you guys able to change it after e-submitting it?

You put down "White" ?

Yes, you are screwed. I hope you've got a high GPA my friend.

I don't understand why they ask for ethnicity...either hispanic or not...then ask what race you are.

Sometimes, the customer service reps aren't the brightest in the lot...not saying that for PharmCAS since I never called them before. Anyways...I looked at the FAQ section and it says you can change info. Race and ethnicity? IDK, but I would keep calling, emailing and trying.

Q: Can I re-edit any section of the application after I have e-submitted my application to PharmCAS?
A: Once you initially submit your application to PharmCAS, you may only change information in the following sections:

Your Account Profile (i.e. your Username, Password, Full Legal Name, SSN, etc.)
Biographic Information (i.e. Alternate/Prior Name, Permanent Mailing Address, Current Mailing Address, etc.)
Evaluator contact information (if the reference was not yet received).

If you make changes to your "Biographic Information" section, PharmCAS will re-send your revised application to your designated pharmacy schools.

You may update your coursework information when PharmCAS initiates the academic update period. For more information, see related questions available on this web page.

👍 Thank you, took your advice called about 3 times e-mailed once. Was finally able to get it corrected.

We all come from Africa anyway, at least that was what I was taught in Biological Evolution. You can choose your ethnicity regardless of your gene pool. Take Sociology and terms like ethnicity become meaningless.
