I made this list this afternoon using the AAMC Writing Sample Prompts (http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/about/wsitems.htm).

There were a few that didn't really fit with the other topics ("miscellaneous" at the end). Also, obviously there is a lot of overlap between topics, so some prompts could go into two different ones.

Anyways, if there are any suggestions for reorganization, I'm open to them.

Hope this is useful for some of you! 🙂 Now it's time for me to start thinking about some topics to cover as many of those themes as possible. 😴

Thank you very much.... I'm worried about the writing sample and had a hard time finding the list of topics on the aamc website....

Thank you! I tried doing that myself this weekend but decided I was really just avoiding electro chemistry.

The categories seem good, though when I looked at politics=money (the very last one on your list) I considered it to be government/politicians. So many good examples in the news lately 😀

Thank you so much for sharing this list. I was staring at the prompts and wasn't sure how to go thru it all...

On the AAMC website it says these prompts will not appear in a real MCAT but my April MCAT that I voided had 2 topics one from 5R and one from 3R.
Has anyone else noticed it too? Are they just saying it?
