How did you prepare and what were your practice scores?

Your science GPA is a little low, but graduating early and being an athlete should help.

What is your state residence?

Hi,
I live in Pennsylvania and I applied to Temple in Philly, along with twelve other schools outside of PA. I prepared with Chad's videos, topscore, CrackDAT, CrackMATH. My practice scores were always right around my real DAT score of 19.
Thank you for your response!

Your scores are fine on average, but schools also look at specifics. You could have a 26 in OC and a 14 in RC and not get in even though your average is fine. I can tell you your AA is average so you have an average chance of getting in, you will want to stand out with your athletic experience and talk about teamwork type stuff and how you were able to balance your school, work, and sporting events.

It depends on what the rest of your scores are if you have an eyesore score like a 15 or below in a subject (except math in most cases) then you should be fine. We need more info on your DAT scores.

Hi,
My scores are:
19 PAT
17 Bio
18 Gen Chem
20 Ochem
20 Reading
18 QR
TS 18
AA 19

The only "eyesore" might be bio? I was disappointed in that.

Thank you for your responses.

You have decent DAT scores, but a low sGPA. I'd say you have an ok chance of getting in somewhere, but that's my opinion.

Your DAT score is just a tad below average (for accepted students), and your GPA is just a tad below average (for accepted students). My advice is to apply to many schools 20+, and apply to the easier schools to get into, and the newer schools. Just by looking at the numbers you really don't have any "big" problems, my advice is to go for it!

Your 17 in Bio isn't really horrible either. Most schools put the cutoff for weeding out students at below 17 for bio.

Good Luck!

Athletic experience will only get you in if you were an Olympic Gold Medalist in a major sport (not ping pong or synchronized swimming) because it would be cool to have someone like that in a dental class, or if you were All-American basketball or football player (but then you would be in the NBA/NFL).
