B-'s?? nah, don't worry. i'm sure people have gotten away with far worse.

I wanna hear from people who have 2 or more dogs, have slight asthma during the winter months, and were accepted to a school with 3 or more vowels in the name of the gymnasium that the school's teams play in. Go.

ok..this may sound really really really stupid....ok so i have already been accepted...and i just got a 4.0 this semester...and tats brings my GPA up...should i update the school, so that i have a better chance when they look for students for scholarships???

dont flame...just a reall honest question....i dont want to bug then if i dont have to....just want to better my chances of gettin money..tas all... 😀

nope your goona get the reject letter before you even apply.

JK

a B isnt the end of your world, and even if you got a F you would and could get into med school...

Good Luck!

I got a C+ this quarter. I still have a 3.4 for the quarter (2 As and a B+), but will this kill me?

WHAT!?! You already have two acceptances and made a 42 on the MCAT! Will your C+ kill you for what??

I got a B+, two A's and an A- for a semester cum of 3.72. Should I get my AMCAS 2006 ready now? <sarcasm>

Can I kill you for asking this question?

All kidding aside, those acceptance letters are scary. They're all, "We trust you will understand that your acceptance is contigent upon successful completion of any academic or degree program in which you are currently enrolled, and is also contigent on your maintenance of the same level of academic performance that was a factor in this admission."

So I understand where the panic is coming from. But the best thing to do is just take easy stuff next semester and get a 4.0 if you got bad grades this semester. That will offset your worries about getting acceptances rescinded. That's what I plan on doing... fluff all the way.

with my acceptance, I was told that any C would require a written explanation and that a D or lower would have them re evaluate my application. I think the policy varies from school to school.

i have it a bit easy........as far as my condition goes....i HAVE to keep a 3.5 cumulative GPA when i graduate....since i have a 4.0 this semester..that brings my cumulative GPA to a 3.72, and so i only need a 2.3 GPA my LAST semester of school to stay in the program.... 😀

If your pre requisites are done, then your grades after acceptance really do not matter (at MOST schools) unless you fail. Seriously, you could have like a 2.0 average your last semester and the school is not going to take away your acceptance as long as you graduate. Now, getting grades lower than that may be another story. Also, there are some med schools with a stricter policy, so check that out at your school too.

Is it normal for schools to have these kind of requirements? I didn't get anything with my OSU acceptance. 😱

None of the MD or DO schools I was accepted to had any stipulations on grades except one MD school, which said I have to "maintain an acceptable academic record and graduate" and one DO school, which said I would have to "maintain an overall GPA above 2.7 and graduate". Neither of these was too much to ask, I don't think.

Not sure, but my LSU New Orleans acceptance says my acceptance could be withdrawn if I get "Grades of below 'C' in any current or future coursework." I'm currently laboring under the impression that if you get below 2.0 in something, they might ask you to explain.
