Hello all,

I'm hoping to get some honest, unbiased feedback on where I currently stand for this cycle.

Background: FL resident, White/Hispanic (not disadvantaged), no immediate family in medicine

- MCAT: 520 (130/130/130/130)

Research:
- ~250 hours (2yrs) in a behavioral biology lab, with 1 poster presentation at a university-organized symposium
- ~200 hours (1 summer) for a research internship an oncology lab (no posters/pubs)

Clinical volunteering:
- ~75 hours in a pediatric clinic, assisting with patient intake and EMR work
- ~50 hours assisting intake and taking vitals for a volunteer clinic that provided care for an underserved Hispanic immigrant community
- ~100 hours in a project to encourage patients to record family health history and pursue genetic screenings (note: I presented another poster about the findings from this project at a university research symposium as first author)

Non-clinical volunteering:
- ~175 hours (3yrs) leading students at local elementary schools through lessons and activities promoting healthy lifestyle habits
- ~25 hours across different organizations helping underserved high school students, including: offering guidance for senior research projects, leading neuroscience/physics lessons and offering college application advice

Shadowing: ~150 hours across several specialties (pediatrics, pediatric neurology, oncology, genetics, internal)

Leadership:
- Treasurer for university's Latinx premed society

Employment:
- 3 summers as a summer camp counselor
- 1.5 years as a personal trainer & group fitness instructor

Other:
- 5 LORs (2 science profs, 1 non-science prof, project supervisor/MD, former employer), all pretty strong
- Strong PS

In-State School List:

FAU
FIU
USF-Morsani

UF
Miami (I know that it's OOS-friendly)

Out-of-State School List (Low-Mid):

Rosalind Franklin
Drexel
Temple

VCU
Hofstra
Quinnipiac
Stony Brook
Boston University

Out-of-State (High-Reach/OOS Unfriendly):

I'm wondering if this list might be a bit too top-heavy given my stats/EC's. Again, objective input is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
