Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get some sage words of wisdom about my application this cycle. I have bachelor's degrees both in Biology and Psychology, and I wanted to know my chances for my specific school list. I got my 500 MCAT score back yesterday after averaging 7-8 points higher on my FLs, and I do not have the time, energy, or resources to take it again in 2 weeks. Main experiences include 2 jobs during undergrad with one counting for 3600 hours of clinical experience.

DO:
- WCUCOM (IS)
- VCOM LA (Strong ties, resident for 6 years)
- ACOM

MD:
- UMMC
- TCU
- LSU-Shreveport??? (Alma Mater, strong ties)

Any input whatsoever is appreciated because I am at a loss.

Have you turned in either your AMCAS or AACOMAS applications already?

If so, you can add LSU-New Orleans to your MD list.
Be aware that LSU-Shreveport is accredited, but on probation right now.

Add more DO schools in the southern states near your home base, and good luck this year

Add a few more DO schools to your application and I suggest these:
VCOM (other 3 schools)
NYIT-AR
UIWSOM
LMU-DCOM
WVSOM
PCOM Georgia and South Georgia

I’m quite below their median GPA and MCAT.. but I guess it’s worth a shot since I’m an alum. Thank you for the advice!
