If my MCAT was like 3 points higher I'd just apply EDP to my state school to get this entire process over with. It's certainly stressful.

But now that you know what it takes to be a successful applicant, I'm sure you'll hold multiple acceptances come October 16th.

Dude, I also just made a significant last-minute change to my PS when doing a final review of my app before submitting on Monday. :oops: Let's just hope these changes are for the better. :xf:

I'm totally ready to submit! This is exciting yet scary at the very same time. :p
 
Thanks! I'm definitely hoping to keep the momentum with some strong essays and interviewing. It's still hard to navigate the costs and the time for so many schools when my work makes it hard for me to leave much. I have a lot of respect for those people that are going 15+ and potentially interviewing at so many schools. Always a good problem to have I suppose, have to keep perspective.

I am so depressed right now over the MCAT it's not even funny. I want to run:mad:. I took my first MCAT with only 2 weeks of semi-serious study and did terrible. I am not a good test take. I freak out the moment they say start. Anyways I have studied way way more that I did the first time and my practice tests are ok (Kaplan, Examkrackers), but when I took my AMCAS 3, I did terrible (the same score as my last MCAT) and now I am scared. I don't know if I am studying wrong.

I only have a week and a half to go for my exam. I couldn't reschedule... ugh
 
I'm feeling equally nervous about my test, even though its in 5 weeks. I'm bought to start on my Full Length practice tests outside of the first one I did (one point lower than my actual score, but before my formal studying. Not sure how to feel about that one.)

Now if you don't excuse me, its time to bury myself in more MCAT Verbal.

Anyways for me, wanted to change my PS completely ... couldn't write anything today. I don't know what to do .... :/
 
Today I found out that I will be working at a neurobio lab over the summer! I'm super stoked. I've missed research these past 2 years, so it's nice to be back. Neuro has always been my #1, so I'm pretty damn excited to say the least. Making connections from scratch in this town has proven difficult, but things are finally coming together. :soexcited:

I was never really happy with my PS.1 or PS.2, so I totally scrapped them and now have PS.3. I'm finally happy with it. :thumbup:

Ready to submit to 20 schools, but I might take a few off before I do :luck::xf:

(And I *still* haven't finished my AMCAS primary because I was being productive with other things and then I watched the game and it went to 2OT and ARGH tomorrow will be busy.... *headdesk*)

I was happy with mine up until yesterday ... :( ... The bulk will probably stay the same, but I need to change some stuff up. Sigh ...

And my list is at 26. Yeesh ... I'm just going to by for sure schools (~15) when submitting then add more once we get to the 28th. :laugh:

Gahhh I wish tickets weren't so expensive so I could go. :( One ticket's probably how much I will spend on sending my primary app to 10-12 schools...

There are only a little over 40 MSTPs in the country, so I am applying to about half of them :oops:

There are so few seats per program,:scared: the chances at any one school are tiny. The only way to increase your odds is by increasing N.

Just cut one so I'm down to 19

Mine's 21 and I'm going to do the same. Maybe I'll come to my senses about some of the others by the 28th, ;).

The primary application has several options to choose from, and I've been picking "Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Pharmacology". So far, I've really enjoyed my time in Pharmacology and Biochem labs, so that's where I'm starting. Those programs are available pretty much everywhere so it doesn't limit my school list at all.

Very nice. The experience that I've had studying pharmacology was very fun, really interesting stuff.

I'm not competitive enough to get into a dual program, but one day I'd love to get my PhD in experimental psychology. I'm a researcher at heart.
