I say get rid of the categories and if you want to run a game add it to the end of the list. If no one ahead of you is ready or available, then you are good to go.
 
The list has been categorized since January at least :shrug:

But I agree a cleanup might be a good idea

Hasn't it been going like that? It's almost always asked on here if anyone has a game ready... I haven't heard anyone really asking to go that hasn't gotten the chance to, but maybe I missed something...

I don't see why that's necessary.

If the people at the top of the list are getting ready then they can move it up. Or call dibs on a time.

I dunno.

I get the point of adding to the bottom, but there's a way to claim your spot here and people just aren't doing it.

New people just come in and add their name to the higher up category and then expect that they will be next in line because their name is higher on the list (even though it really was not). That is why I suggest adding to the bottom or not having categories, eliminates people being able to do that.

Hummm. I didn't realize there was that kind of skipping.
 
The two games that ashgirl and I are concocting were put at the way way bottom of the list. I don't know what games have been skipped up to the top. I assumed that whenever people had a game that they knew was ready, and no one else had recently claimed stake in gaming time, that they were able to say "hey, I have a game, any objections?"
 
I thought the point of the categories was so we could keep track of which games were in what stages, so we wouldn't have to constantly ask who was ready to go. Granted there could be games in the last category that are ready to go and they just haven't been moved up to the appropriate category, so cleaning up the list is a good idea.

This is what we have - all new games from everyone should be added to the bottom of the list really first. It is great that so many people want to mod & all, but tbh it is getting a bit ridiculous with all the newbie mods who barely have their feet wet playing. You really should be playing for a long time before modding is considered. There are a lot of good potential games on here from veterans that may not see the light of day with the amount of newbs overpowering the roster. You might want to consider backing off & playing some of these games if we can coax the veterans back - learn a bit more, then jump back in. JMO

Anyone who has a game on here that is not going to run it ever should take it off.
 
I'm all good with backing off. Heck, mine and ashgirl's games are nooowhere near being any kinds of ready, and we both know that we need to play more before going full mod. I put those on the list with the intent that we wanted to be the ones to run that theme of game, since we're both avid members of the fandom, sometime in the future.

Taking myself off. I don't think i'm ever going to have enough time to put something together and mod it while peej is on rotations. And if I do have time, I should probably be more constructive with it.

I had some ideas for South Park. If anyone wants my ideas, PM me.
 
I would so try to run the South Park one... but I didn't expect to get slammed so hard with work, and so quickly. Looks like I'll be on ww hiatus for a while. :(
 
I feel like the majority of the experienced mods are busy with the start of school and all.
 
I realized this morning (sorry again DVMD) that I've got my name on the list for a few games, but I've kinda disappeared. I had every intention of doing the 80's game with @kaydubs and the Disney Redux with @DVMDream this summer, but life just got in the way. At this point in my life, I feel like I really need to step away from SDN for a while. Since I'm not sure when/if I'll be back on SDN, I wanted to let everyone know that they can take over my spot in any of my games. :)

Don't worry...I'll still keep up with everyone on FB. I'm not pulling a SOV and completely disappearing. ;) And I might be back tomorrow...we all know how hard it is to escape this place. :p

Any experienced mods interested in taking a look at a draft for Battlestar Galactica? I am not looking to run anytime soon, just get a review of things and a better understanding of what makes a good game tick.

I am actually pretty busy, but not sure I can accept no more WW games. If there is demand, I will think of something, and find the time to mod.

I would recommend you not run a game now. Just my opinion.
I don't think people really have the time, and others play but it is really a strain.

I ran a small-ish game, and had an all time high of people asking to be excused from the game.

Do what you want, but better off just running a speed game some weekend day when enough people are around.

I don't have time now STL, sorry :( after my fall season is over (November) I'll have a lot more time :)
