So, we are on to the end-game. 3 players with very different strategies to profess their innocence. Let us examine each one in turn.
First we have DVMDream, who admitted she is a werewolf early in the game, said she lost her role and the mods backed her up, and everyone just accepted that. Accepted it without question. LOL. I am going to try that next game. "My role is wolf, but it is ok, I am reformed". Ha ha ha. Her role was to attack people. What does that make you? She did a masterful job of that "Are they a wolf or a werewolf?" questioning for a while, then didn't even bother... I guess it is true, if you tell a big lie and repeat it over and over you will believe it and others will too. Snaps to DVMDream who made it to the end-game on that strategy. Once in the endgame she came up with the "I swear on my kitty" defense. Interesting.. Always tough to know how far someone will take a defense. I ask you this; "Would DVMD come up with a defense that could be used to find out her wolfiness in every subsequent game?" You really think so? All you would have to do is ask her "Do you swear on your kitty?" If no, then lynch her, if yes, then trust her. No I would not be buying what she is selling if I were in your shoes. Shame on you DVMD, I swear on my IGs I wouldn't do that.
Next we have DrJojo. He had a plain villager role alias all game long. Kept on spouting information about what was going on as if it came from the mods.... No one questioned whether that info could have come from the wolves as well. It was all really vague. But he seems a likeable chap... Plus he had that whole "I wouldn't betray my honesty just to win a WW game" line. Now that is the absolutely biggest pile of rubbish I have ever seen in WW. If there is a player who is not willing to sell out everything as a wolf, then I absolutely would never want to play with him, especially as a wolf.. I would just throw him under the bus Day 1, because that is a lousy wolf, easily spotted, so might as well gain some cred by killing him. Is that the player Dr.Jojo is? I mean, basically either the wolves throw him under the bus right away, or wolves will kill him right away because he will have no future as a wolf. That just sounds like an inexperienced wolf to me. That will NOT fly Jojo.... think up a better line in the future.. Some of us aren't as naive as you.
And finally we have Nohika. Her "strategy" the whole game has been. "I'm busy". Somehow that has worked all game long. Her endgame strategy is just "why me?". So simple, yet so elegant. Her role is apparently to guess, I mean determine, who is supernatural. Not too hard in a game when everyone is supernatural. This is the "I have no defense", defense. And it got her here, so how can we argue against it. It is the reason we lynch the quiet ones all the time... but not this time it seems... and not until the very last lynch.
Now to the question some of you at least must be asking: "Is there a twist?". It can't really just be 2 villagers trying to figure out who is the wolf amonst them. It just can't. Can it?
So what was this all about? Do you guys even have a clue yet? Who were the wolves? Why were they wolves? Are there any wolves? How is it going to end with these last 3 players? I love asking questions, but I am not so excited about giving answers, but I guess I owe it to you all to answer them finally... Well this game was (mostly) about the occult. Villagers were pretty much given a role in the occult. Some of you were "real" occultists who could figure stuff out, and some of you were "fakers" or frauds and got lousy information as you would expect. I mean, astrology, come on DocE. Were you really going sit there and insist your results were reliable as an astrologist, especially when everyone is telling you you are wrong. SMH..... There were also some occult creatures for fun out there. So your capabilities were awfully dodgy, but what about the wolves. Well of course the wolves are the ones that oppose the villagers, and that is the doubters, or the people who used occult for their own gain and admitted it. So, for example, Dana Scully, protagonist on the x-files, but an opposer of the practitioner. So that my friends is quite simply what this was all about. Oh, there were a few screwball roles thrown in there for confusion (Elvis, nobody, tall man)... but actually Elvis was about reincarnation, and noboby and tall man could have been transformed if attacked by a werewolf, so there was some madness to the mayhem.. Or something like that.
Plain Jane ending. No twist. 2 villagers and a wolf. The twist is no twist. Now if Dyachei were still alive, that would have been a different ending, but she, alas, did not make it.
I guess it is time for the reveal...
DVMDream is the werewolf. She attacks people each night trying to convert them.
Dr.Jojo is Jonny Smith, Postcognition, he learns a little tidbit each night after the fact.
Nohika is JB Rhine, Parapsychology investigator, learning whether someone is a supernatural practitioner or creature.
Have you guessed the wolf yet? DVMDream did have her role stripped. She did take over for NStarz, and she did get the ability to color investigate. All truths. As much as it pains me to say it though, DVMDream was not the wolf. I did not trick her. She is now, and always has been a villager.
Dr. Jojo's "I wouldn't sacrifice my integrity" as a wolf line was not BS. He really believes that stuff. He still say he has a lot to learn about wolf-dom. We shall see in the future whether he is willing to screw his fellow wolves over his integrity now that he has espoused that saccharine nonsense.
And Nohika was also a villager..... well not for long. She was converted on Night 3. She has been walking amongst you for 12 days as a wolf. She deserves props for lasting that long. I am definitely going with the "I am at work all the time" defense in the future.
Congrats to the villagers for finally finishing off the wolves... I will have more thoughts in a subsequent post. Post-mortem Doctors?
