I will be attending college in the fall of 2008 and do not know weather to major in microbiology or just biology.

If you guys have any advice that would be great or post what you major in

My major was Microbiology for a while but then I switched to Biology just because I was gonna end up graduating faster (2 semesters earlier). Either one of those will do if you're planning on going to dental school someday 😳).
 
Screw biology! Chemistry majors are better.
 
I actually majored in biomedical engineering, but if I did it again, I would have done business or accounting. It would have help me a ton more in all the other aspects of my life.

Economics is where it's at! 😀

Major in what interests you instead of trying to impress dental schools because just about everyone is a bio major. You'll be taking more than enough bio classes in dental school anyway.
 
screw business... thats common sense. Do Feminist Studies major and a Photography minor.

Honestly, it does not matter as long as you cover your pre-reqs and do well in them. Then all recommended courses take as well. Most kids are bio, chem, engineering, because those majors naturally cover the pre-reqs.
 
double major in human biology and mathematics 🙂
 
You can major in whatever you want as long as you fulfill the requirements for admission.
