They haven't even contacted me about my primary application or supplementary fee. I talked to a couple of in state students who are applying this year and they said the same thing...

I'm in state and there has been zero communications from that school, I also applied to UIC so I wonder if it might be in the same system?

AADSAS changed from invited for interview to received/application complete.

Anyone else having a hard time choosing between SIU and UIC?
I did at first, but realistically, considering SIU's strong didactics, staff, and the cost of attendance - SIU is the winner.

Hey guys I want to apply to SIU for this fall 2013.. I Have my application filled out and ready to turn in .. and i am taking the DAT soon.. My grades are solid (3.8). I know this is late, i just decided that i wanted to apply to dental school. Do you think i would still stand a chance if i got my application turned in now and took the DAT in a few weeks? or is it too late?

I would tell you go ahead and attempt to get your application submitted. I am a current D1 student at SIU-SDM, and as long as your DAT is an 18+ (with your great GPA) you should be able to get an interview here in February as long as you take the DAT is submitted asap. Just FYI I submitted my application in October (of 2011), interviewed in the last week of January and accepted the next week. Also there are other students who submitted their application in January and got accepted so I would take the chance.
Last round of acceptances was about a month ago, but I don't know how many seats are left
