Is podiatry really the 12th like the "todays podiatry" video advertises?

I find that a little hard to believe?

Investment banker
CEO
Neurosurgeon
Cardiologist
Rad
Gas
Ortho
Other surgery
Other finance related jobs

is it really 12th? Where did they get this statistic from?

Sorry if this has been asked. i am a newbie who is just learning about this field.

that video needs updating 😀 according to last years Bureu of labor podiatry is num 14 for 2010
if you want 2009 check here

those numbers are a bit off, but who cares where you rank in comparison to others, podiatrist's make a great living. How much you earn really depends on where you practice. Back home in Oregon I know a podiatrist who earns over $225,000 a year. if you want to make bank, go practice in a place that has few podiatrists. Go to mysalary.com to get more specific numbers per region, even then it is a bit off because it counts part time mother podiatrists, part time that are transitioning into retirement and so forth.

i was just trying to humor the OP 🙄

I have heard it's the 7th highest paid medical specialty with the lowest malpractice (especially when compared to other surgeons and OBGYNs). I do not know about 12th on a list of all professions.
