On that language note, I sort of want to take a language class at Portland State if I can fit it in somehow (nothing intense though...).

It may be an exercise in futility at this point (do they even have any more interview slots to award?), but does anyone know how to send OHSU updates? I can't find an email address anywhere, and am hard pressed to believe that all correspondance with the school has to be via snail mail.
send it to lori toner: [email protected]. she's a good contact in the admissions office.
also, there are still some interview invites going out. they interview into april. last year i knew people getting interview offers mid march.
good luck!

At work, I had a random thought, how come nobody pronounces OHSU as "Oh-sooo"? 🙄
No.Have you called?
No.
I was under the impression that they did not allow or like to give status checks over the phone
not fluently but i was a french minor and i'm hoping to be fluent...someday...🙂
I just called the admissions office inquiring about my app. I was complete on 10/13. I asked if a dec has been made since maybe the email went to spam and I deleted it or the snail mail was lost. They told me I am on hold for interview and the dean or someone is reviewin the hold applicants to see if they get an interview and that I should hear something soon in a week or two. Don't know if I heard the last part correctly. Good luck to the rest of us waitin for invites.
Uhh...
CRB 717, I think one of us should call.
NOT IT.
okay then tell me how it goes😀
I interviewed on December 31st so I could call also...
Not it...
It's all up to CRB717
My goodness, we have been posting on a ton of the same threads as of late DrWookie.
Anyway...CRB717 it looks as though it is all up to you buddy.
Hey, so I am one of the lurkers... I found out on Monday I was accepted (!!!) and I interviewed during inauguration week. 😍
WHAT THE HECK!
you interviewed mid to late January?
Okay CRB717 and DrWookie, looks like one of us NEEDS to call tomorrow, no backing out.
NOT IT!!!

haha, kind of along the same lines, if you say OHSU really fast, emphasizing the "H", it sounds like a sneeze.

Haha sounds great, I was thinking of brushing up on my 5+ years of Spanish, from my experience in various emergency departments it would seem like a SUPER handy and useful language to know...
Thanks for the congratulations! I hope yall get good news soon... maybe i heard earlier cuz i applied to one of the dual degree programs and maybe their application process goes a little differently.?. Quién sabe
Hey can anyone shed some light on the parking situation on campus? Is it pretty easy to find a spot if you get a visitor pass? Thanks!

In past years they have offered a medical spanish class at OHSU in the evenings, several of my classmates took this (it is offered at the intermediate and advanced levels I think, so you have to have some spanish ability to begin with but not fluency). If you complete the advanced portion I believe you can be certified so you can act as a translator for your patients in the hospital, which will definitely come in handy in your clinical years. You totally have the time to do this first and second years, and I wish I had.
I actually called today too DrWookie. I got the machine as well.
The message at the start really tries to scare people away from getting a status check hunh?
Okay so I just "manned up" and called the office. Their normal number is a machine talking about how they only want to speak with you if you have an "urgent" something rather, so I instead tried calling Katy (The number given in our interview emails).
She didn't answer 🙁
For the people who have called to find out, who did you call?
out of curiosity, which dual degree program?
