What is the longest you’ve heard of it taking to hear back? It’s been 10 weeks for me of no word and I’ve read longer for others

adding another datapoint. interviewed 1/13/25. been roughly three months and no response.
 
Has anyone heard anything regarding MD/PhD? I interviewed 9/30-10/1 and I am still sitting on hold. On cycle track it says there has been no acceptances since December. Have they announced any changes like reducing their class size?
 
Hasn’t there MD/MPH been selected already? I thought I saw the cohort summary already on their site.

wait what where. i am a md mph applicant and have heard nothing.

It was probably from last year (the program is 5 years, so c/o 2029 would have started from 2024).

Oh that makes sense, then c/o 2029 is up and thought that was it. I was also an MD/MPH applicant and they moved me to regular MD instead to interview.
 
Hi guys -- been stalking the old OHSU feeds while sitting on hold. This is probably a silly question, but I can't seem figure out a start date for OHSU SOM. The website says classes begin for the Summer A session 6/30/25 for the school of medicine and dentistry's summer session, but I'm seeing people talk about waitlist movement through July and August, and it's making me wonder if incoming students start school later. Is that movement from people who withdrew at the last minute? Does anyone who's been accepted know when classes actually start?

Hey! Graduated OHSU student here. First year medical students usually start in the second week of August. It will either be August 4 or August 11. I'd bet on the 11th, but I'm not sure.

No one comes off the waitlist after orientation week, though if anyone withdraws prior to or during orientation week, they will pull folks off the waitlist.

Hi! We start 8/11 and white coat ceremony is 8/15!
 
Does OHSU still give out full tuition scholarships?

you dont apply. the website and what they told us during interviews says
"For applicants who have recently been offered acceptance into the MD Program, you will automatically be considered for scholarships by the Admissions Committee, and UME will notify you if you've been selected to receive or apply for a scholarship. Therefore, there is no separate application process in order to be considered for one of the UME scholarships. Please note that program acceptance offers and scholarship offers are not typically sent in tandem. Because admission to the MD program is offered on a rolling basis, the timeline will vary for notifying scholarship recipients up until matriculation. We ask that you please do not contact our office to inquire about your chances of receiving a scholarship."

They've been doing one once a month around the 20th. Since january? I'm not sure since I only got the email reporting February March april. Just checked, there's one on May 30th as well.

Once again, I am manifesting for an acceptance this week. Please OHSU 🙏
 
During my cycle, I just treated OHSU like a non rolling admissions school. So if I hear anything before May 10, for example as this was an AAMC deadline of some sort back then (I forgot what it'a called) - then it would be a surprise and I don't have to wait daily. Easier said than done but I also preoccupied myself with a lot of things.
 
Has anyone received their financial aid package or student account yet?

It varies yearly. I’ve read as high as 60-70 range in the past. My cohort is probably 50-60. My memory is inaccurate though so this is probably not helpful. You can check past cycles here. Not sure if current fundings cuts / scholarship / CoA in schools changes things.
