I was told that 7 people did not match...does anyone know if this is true, or what the story is?

Why does everyone match in New York?

1. Sackler is the most well known in NYC (and then southern California). In the 70s an 80s, there use to be a very strong connection between the NY Board of Medicine and Sackler (where I believe NY residents were given some sort of discount on tuition), so therefore alumni connections are heavy in that region.
2. A good portion of people who attend Sackler are from the northeast which again has to do with the "word of mouth" related to this program.
3. NY has a vibrant Jewish population
4. Personal preference of the students applying to those residency programs.

Does anyone know of someone from Sackler that matched into Ophto?

That information has never been released but I would imagine fairly high. Many people have Mcats in the high 30s, and GPAs are high aswell. Also there are students with graduate degrees already.

MCATs in the high 30's is ludicrous. I got an interview with a 29 and a 3.2.

Shouldn't you learn English first? Then maybe you can think about med school and when you do, don't consider Sackler...we don't want you here.
