after you guys send in your forms to hold your spot in the class, how long did it take for them to send back a receipt?
Got the "Your file will be re-evaluated later in the season..." status today. Oh well...
I joined that club as well. Are we right in thinking that it's basically a rejection? Or have people gotten interviews after a status like that? It being so late in the season definitely changes things, but still.

Just received my acceptance package in the mail today I'm going to be a doctor woooo!!!!!! I interviewed at the beginning of december so there is still hope people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My status changed to
"Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly"
DREXEL please show me some love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Good luck!When did you interview?
Does anyone happen to know for those that are put on a Hold Pre-Interview when to expect to hear back?
To everyone on pre-interview hold:
I'll be blunt. Don't expect to hear back. You need to take the next step.
Your hold signifies that they're not sure whether or not to extend you an interview invite. So tell then why they should give you a shot. Be proactive: send an update, interest letter, etc.
Persistence is key. The interview season goes on for another few months so there's still hope.
Good luck.
I sent them an update in December and never received confirmation or any acknowledgement. Just tried again...
I wouldn't be too concerned about not receiving a confirmation.
When does the waitlist start moving?? (before or after May 15th?)
Anyone have stats on approximately how many people get accepted off of the waitlist at drexel??
thanks!

(if any)....
does that mean that drexel doesn't accept ppl off their waitlist typically? i find this hard to believe only because it has SUCH a big class size and is not necessarily viewed by a lot of people as being a top tier school (in my opinion i loved it...just saying stats-wise).
Here is sample data from the past (class of 2011):
1759 interviewed, 711 were accepted, 280 enrolled.
That means about 400 people total either were accepted off the waitlist or declined their acceptance to Drexel.
400 is a lot, so I assume the waitlist moves a lot.

Interview 1/9, sent to committee member a week later, and committee for review the week after. Playing the waiting game at the moment...
Question is my PI wants to send a recommendation letter for me...is there a person or address I can forward this to? Dean Parish perhaps?
interviewed in dec. 10th and decision has been reached status on march 1st
do these med schools even look at letters of intent/updated LOR's, i mean are they really going to consider them if your file is already to the committee?
I have subscribed to this thread, thus have read all the comments.
Drexel was my first interview back in the first week of November. Since then I have been accepted at every med school I interviewed with and am now turning down interview invitations. I received my first acceptance prior to Thanksgiving, so I never felt the need to call Drexel and figure out why it was taking so long.
I have been logging in and checking my status every week to see if I have finally been reviewed by the committee. The day has finally come. No clue if I have been accepted or waitlisted, but for those going crazy after 4 weeks or so of waiting, calm down. The process is the process, nothing more. Schools are interviewing until/ through April and students can hold multiple offers until May 15.
6-8 weeks turned into 4+ months. Maybe when we/ you go to Drexel you can get involved with the selection committee. 🙂
Dude. What's with the bragging? Please... somewhat lame. This post kind of annoyed me. 🙄
Interviewing here tomorrow! I'm excited to visit the school. I interviewed here for the BA/MD program, but, obviously, was unsuccessful. Hopefullly it will go better this time😀
I agree. I love the "I don't know if I've been accepted or waitlisted" - there's one more possible outcome!

Haha, I like the honesty of this post...hope it goes better for you this time around! 🙂 The school seemed really cool on interview day, especially with the new sim center opening...see if your tour guide can show it to you!
Speaking of the sim center...it's awesome. I was in there the other day doing a couple of scenarios with some fellow MS-2's and the dummies are impressive. Some of the simulated physiological functions are more pleasant than others, though. One dummy was in respiratory distress and it was sweating all over the place.
It's a lot of fun.
