If anyone wants to be terrified, Drexel received 520 applications for 8 to 10 slots.
That's <2%! gulp.

welcome to med school odds, trust me I know the feeling of going through those types of odds, but not just at one school, for every school.
Are there any other applicants to Canadian schools out there? I would definitely be interested in sharing results of applications if so... 😀
Huh? I know there are med schools with much higher acceptance rates than that (and also some with equal or lower acceptance rates).
Yeah, my little brother who graduated from a top ranked med school said clinical psych odds were worse but he may have meant that there were less slots overall as opposed to a school by school basis. His ex was a clinical psych phd at the same university so I suppose that is what he based it on.
It would be great if the person who received the UMass Boston invite could also send me a PM. Thanks!Could the person who received an invite from UMass Boston please PM me with your POI? Also, the website says that interviews will be on 2/26 and 3/2 but yours is 2/22 -- is that specific to your POI?
Thanks!

Ditto and Texas too please!
P.S.
Has anyone actually been PM'd this kinda stuff yet? I keep asking but no replies...🙁
Does anyone know how to find the "interview feedback" thread from last year? I can find the Interview Invite Thread based on the link at the beg of this one, but haven't been able to track down the feedback thread.
I have an super early interview at UCSB's CCSP program for Jan 22 (notified by phone, official e-mail supposed to go out on Friday) and really want to get a sense of what to expect!
Thanks!

Anyone heard anything from UIC? I just got assurances that the app was there but they never even sent back my postcard 🙁 Although I doubt I will get anything there POIs kept dropping out of accepting students so i am down to 1 there lol.
I haven't heard anything yet but last year they didn't contact folks til the 3rd or 4th week of Jan. Pretty sure I didn't get my postcard back either though I confirmed all was there via email.
what are these post cards?
was i supposed to send them one... being like: hi wish i was a student at your school
??
Just wondering how the person who got contacted by SDSU/UCSD received the interview invite? Just wondering if it was from the POI or the grad coordinator.
I know that everyone got emails from the grad coordinator yesterday FINALLY saying that our applications were complete and were being reviewed by faculty this week. That is some quick turn around time! But congrats to whoever got the invite!
What!?!?! I didn't get an email. boooooooo
I noticed that a number of people have been posting about the SDSU/UCSD JDP. I am a student at this program and I would like to assuage people's anxiety as it is very unlikely that anyone has received an interview invite because our department has only begun reviewing the applications. Therefore, it will be a week or two before each specialty track meets to discuss whom they will invite for the interview weekend. Interviews usually occur toward the end of February. Good luck everyone!

How do you know this?
Any word on Drexel or Fordham?
Anxiously awaiting.🙂
Hello,
For those of you who received invites to Drexel & ASU... did you say it was the POI who contacted you? Would you mind messaging me which faculty you identified as your POI?
Ahhh! The wait is the hardest part![]()
Who did you hear from at UCSB? Your POI? If so, can you PM me and tell me who that is??? THANKS!!!
does anyone know if the uminn invite offer is also for those who applied directly to the institute of child development? (icd) I know that if you want to work with someone at the icd that you have to apply directly to the icd, not the psychology department. thanks and congrats.
If you're referring to the Minnesota School Psychology invite on the list, I am a dual ICD/School Psych applicant and I spoke with a secretary at the School Psych program today who said that *she wasn't sure but* she believes that the ICD has not yet made their decisions.. So no, I have only received an invite from School Psychology at Minnesota and there was no ICD invite attached, as of yet.
So, do you still interview with just the department, or is the whole process separate? (Just curious, not applying there). Congrats on the invite, though. 😀
