^ I think, or at least I hope, it was a mistake made by the administrative assistant who sent the email. I would hope that it wasn't done purposefully.

I also received a rejection email from Lincoln, for those of you who were also waiting on that notification.

Now I'm just waiting to hear from the NJ VA and Beth Israel.
 
Had my first interview this morning. I did a practice interview that went really well, but this interview was rough. It's hard enough to come across well over the phone, but the generic interview questions just killed me. Tell me how they make a decision after a 30 minute phone call with generic questions??!!

Ugh...feeling down right now...

They shouldn't all be like that. I had a phone interview with a super psychodynamic group, and they would ask a question....I'd respond, they put me on mute, talk about it, and then ask me the next question. It was NOT a fun interview.

Just got a rejection for NJ VA.
 
^ Me too. I feel ok about this process for now. I have 5 interviews mostly at sites or locations I am excited about. I am only now waiting on Beth Israel but I think it'll be a while until I hear from them, so for now I am content.

Hey guys, I've just got an interview at Beth Israel. The secretary told me that they are calling out-of-town applicants first. Good luck to you all!
 
Kedmonkey, I heard from NCB a couple of weeks ago but not Jacobi. Who knows.

Therapist4Chnge, I heard from Ancora a while back. Sorry about Albany.
 
I wish I could just call the one site on which I am waiting now to find out the status of my application. I am waiting to schedule two other interviews until I hear back from this final site, and I would hate to lose out on a good interview day because of it. Maybe I should just schedule them now and then cross the bridge of shuffling interviews around if and when I get there?😕

oh eww...that would be awful!

I've heard from everyone now as well as some folks...though I was only waiting on Palo Alto.

I'm stressing about the actual interviews now, though I have a couple weeks still...I'd appreciate any advice from people who've already gone through some. What does everyone ask? What are some curveballs you've been thrown?

I got another invite, which was then followed by a rejection from the U of Tenn College of Med (VA placement)....no time to be happy about the invite. I knew I was in trouble when the attachment was labeled, "no-interview ltr".....:laugh:

I have few sites left, and I am going to call them tomorrow (if they have a Nov 15th notification date). A bird in hand....and all that jazz.
 
I just got an interview at Greystone. I thought I remembered some others waiting on them, so I thought I'd post. It came by email a few minutes ago.

Any word from Columbia Pres. yet? anyone?

I received a rejection letter (snail mail) from their adult track last week.

Calipsych, I haven't heard from Capitol Region yet either. You'd think we would have heard by now.
I think someone else was asking about Jacobi. I got a rejection email from them a few weeks ago.
 
Has anybody received a rejection from ancora yet? Today is their deadline for notification and I haven't heard anything. I know some had received invites a while back. Did they say anything about confirming interviews after they had scheduled anybody? Trenton psychiatric did that.

Are you close to NY? I'm from out of town too but I'm pretty close to NY. I guess I'll continue to wait on them...
 
Finally heard back from all my sites!!

7 invites total - I'm very happy with this, especially given that I geographically constricted myself and applied to a lot of med schools.

For anyone else interviewing at Boston Consortium, did you get the snail mail info yet? I have not, and I got the invite two weeks ago. Hmmmmm.....
 
Just found out that two university counseling centers in San Diego both have their notification date January 1. More waiting!

However Children's Hospital Orange County's is today. 😕 Anybody heard?

I haven't received any new info either. I assume it will be on its way soon.
 
I'm still waiting on Ancora and NY Harbor Health Care System (Brooklyn). I have 7 interviews, which is a couple less than I wanted, but still good considering the competitiveness.

I just got information from one of my sites and they had a different date than the one they told me on the phone. I called in on Friday and I'm pretty sure the assistant gave me the wrong date, at least I hope so. The hard copy one fits my schedule perfectly, the other one....not so much.
 
Still have the same 2 interviews, 5 rejections, and 6 I'm waiting on that I had last night at this time. Only 5 of the 6 I'm waiting on have an interview notification deadline of today (surprise!). No calls, no emails, no love. 🙁

Someone told me that Greg Keilen said that many programs wait until the last possible minute to notify students, even waiting until almost midnight to send out emails. I guess some of us never stop procrastinating.
 
Two invites today :laugh:

And two rejections (one to my top site) 🙁

Plus a mediocre interview this morning...

I can't wait until this process is done so I can relax

Two of the sites that were supposed to notify me today haven't, and I'm still waiting on 5.
 
I know some people were waiting to hear from Montefiore. I got an invite from them today.

I also haven't heard from Capitol Region. Has anyone heard from Tewksbury Hospital? Hang in there :xf:!

Congrats Celloblue! I got a rejection from them today. 🙁 On the positive side, though, I got an invite for Columbia Presbyterian -- which I'm thrilled about!🙂

Thanks. Have heard excellent things about Monte-- a few students from my program interned there recently and said it was a great experience.

Has anyone heard from Trenton Psychiatric? Their notification date is 12/22, but they're the last site I have to hear from so I'm itching to know.

I heard from them in late Nov. I understand how you must be feeling. I'm waiting to hear from Ancora. I know some have heard and interviewed there already. Today is their notification deadline.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if they both do a rolling interview process. I have an interview with Ancora on Thursday and got the invite weeks ago, but nothing from Trenton. Good luck! Hopefully we'll both hear soon.

I got an invite from Gouverneur this morning. They are doing two "open houses" within the next week and then scheduling interviews after that, presumably in January.
 
is anyone planning on contacting the sites that had "notify by" dates of today that they did not hear from?

You betcha......I'll probably call tomorrow afternoon, maybe 4pm? I figure I'll give them the better part of the next day after the deadline. I only have 2 sites left, so it should take all of 2 minuts.
 
I think I'll wait a bit longer. Since I'm local I can afford to wait and see if I need to fit in any more interviews.

Still haven't heard from Gouverneur, Brooklyn VA, Beth Israel or Lenox Hill. Not feeling very optimistic about my chances at this point, but we'll see...🙄
 
Does anyone have any information about the internship at Alexian Brothers in Chicago or Oak Forest Hospital - beyond just the websites and the brochures? Both brochures have good information that make the sites attractive, but I was just wondering if there is "word on the streets."

I looked into AB, though I didn't end up applying there. My friend has an interview there, so I can ask her if I see her this weekend.

If you think about it and ask her that would be helpful. I've tried googling to find more information and I am not finding much other than what is available on their website.
 
Hi all - congrats to those of you with interviews! It sounds like many people are done hearing from sites. So far I have 8 interviews and am still waiting on 4 (!)

Has anyone heard (or know someone who has heard) from Suffolk University counseling center or Oregon State University? Suffolk was supposed to notify by yesterday, but I know Oregon's date isn't until the 24th (!)

Anyone else still waiting on lots of sites?
