hey alll!

i majored in psyc ... took most of my courses in psyc...

and psyc is listed under life sciences in our uni.... so wud references from my psyc profs be considered SCIENCE? i mean, aacomas does list psyc under "behavioural science", lol... :$

most of the core science courses i took like way in first year... 🙁 i guess though if need be, i can shoot them a quick mail and get them to write me one... *-)

No. Psych is considered a "soft science" that is not included under the science letter requirement at the majority of med schools. Some might make an exception, but it unlikely that many will.

Core sciences are Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Most schools consider Math a science, but some don't.

If it is in the math dept. It is considered math. If not, it is usually not considered a math (i.e., psych stats). Math is also not calculated in your science GPA in your AACOMAS app, so it might be risky using a stats Prof as one of your science letters.
